The first race of the winter Czech Championship was held at the Sport Hotel in Brandys and Labem on February 14, 2010. Many drivers participated in the Saturday local race on same track to prepare their cars for the Sunday race. The event has two classes: 1/10 TC Modified and 1/10 TC Stock with 13.5T brushless motors. Both classes used Xenon tires. The race format was four rounds of 5min qualifying (two best counting), and three rounds of finals. The track was small with an average lap time of 10.6sec.

I won three of the four qualifications. My car was fast, stable, and easy to drive. Michal Bok came in 2nd place and young XRAY driver Zdenko Kunak was in 3rd place. His car was not very fast but he ran consistent stable lap times.

Before the finals the sun was shining into the hall and temperature changed. My set-up didnâ™t work well in first final and I had a problem with traction rolling. So I made some changes to prevent traction rolling and the car was little bit slower than before but I could make stable lap times without mistakes or rolling. Michal Bok won the first final, and I won the second final. Zdenko Kunak came in 2nd in both finals.
In the third final I was leading until 2 minutes before the end when I had contact with a lapped driver. All drivers were nervous and made mistakes in the third final. Zdenko Kunak won the third final, and I came in 2nd place. We had the same amount of points, but I had a better result in the second final so I won the race and Zdenko Kunak finished in 2nd place overall.

The battle in the Stock category was between Zdenko Kunak and Jiri Mara, both with XRAY T3 cars. The race was very equal. In the final, Zdenko was less nervous and made fewer mistakes and thus took the win.
